Upgrade from your stock cable brake to a full hydraulic brake for increased performance. This kit includes a new caliper and mount with hardware.

Install Notes:

This is a direct replacement for Stacyc 12/16EDRIVE disc brake upgrades. For other brand bikes we try our best to describe the install with parts needed. You may need different caliper brackets or sized rotor than what we provide. These are to be used as a guide and not definite. Line length is roughly 45in.

Stacyc 12/16:

You must already have a disc brake kit installed. This does not include the required bracket.

Super73 K1D:

You will lose the brake kill switch with this kit.

Thumpstar/XRT 12/16:

You will reuse the 2 washers between the frame and caliper mount with this kit.

The hydraulic line cannot fit through the stock brake cable hoops. You will need to zip tie the line to these hoops.

The brake kill switch is removed with this kit.

Orion 12/16 2023 models:

You must have a 160mm rear rotor to due increased motor size.

Kawasaki Elektrode:

The bike is designed to be small like a 12 but as large as a 16 with bar height adjustments. The hydro line will not fit inside the frame due to excessive line length. The hydraulic line has to be ran externally along the frame.

Game changer

I bought this for my 5 year old's Kawasaki Elektrode because he wasn't strong enough to abruptly apply the stock brake. The hydraulic line is a little shorter than the OEM brake cable but I was still able to route the hydraulic line the same way the OEM cable was routed in the frame. It took me about 30 minutes to install. Now my son can stop with confidence. We'll worth the upgrade. My only complaint is that the handle isn't as durable as it could be and will bend easily.

I think about all the time I wasted adjusting the cable breaks only for them to stretch and need more adjustment best upgrade you can give your little one
